Mat frame with Cold Feet????



Because I work in my family room/sitting room, which is upstairs, I didn't want to put my rug frame on my NEW floors :) so I decided to put wool socks on the feet/legs. Looks kinda cute, dont' you think? I have a new camera and am not familiar with cropping the pictures yet..can't you tell?

I tried once to work in my downstairs area but have to say... I Do Not Like a Basement...as my Mother said at one time when we offered to make an apartment there for her: "I'll be Underground Soon Enough"....that's my MOM.....:)

As you can see, I have begun hooking again...It's about time.....
Also, the container next to my frame is not laundry...it is my material that I am using for this project...

    I love hard wood floors, I would do the same thing to protect them

    Love your sock feet. I agree with your mother - I rented a basement apartment once and only lasted a few months before I moved again.

    Above ground for me too! Unless there happens to be lots of big windows in a basement! Cute cute stocking feet on the frame! Great idea!

    I like your Frame idea. the back of our basement is out of ground, we have french doors and full size windows. so you would never know that it is a basement,

Rug hooking is a hobby that I want to look into, is it difficult? I've also been canning for the last three years and I love it! Did you get much snow with this last storm?     Socks were a great idea, Anne. I also have hardwood floors and they are nice but takes keeping after to keep them nice.
    Isn't it nice to get "back in the groove" after the holidays?? Can't wait to see what you are working on.

    Floor looks great!! Love the socks! That mat is going to be awesome! Finally got a snowstorm here today...the first snow for the year for us! Inspires my hooking :-)

    Ditto on the basement thing....our "Den" has been turned into a hooking room....and thankfully no one minds :-)

    Hi, I have just found your blog and it has been very fun to read ... I am with you on the basement! So, I work right in my living room or on the kitchen table. I am also from Newfoundland ... we are transplanted but we get home a fair bit!
