A friend of mine asked me to hook a mat for her as a gift to her daughter for Christmas. She didn't give me any idea of what she wanted just that the color "Purple" was to be in it. As I didn't have much time to think because I had so many mats to complete before the Holidays, I came up with this idea. Her daughter was thrilled with it. My camera doesn't do justice to the color because the border is purple, not blue as it seems to be here.
I love the different approach to this mat..looking through the window outside to the garden is lovely.

Love it. I was thinking of "looking out a window" concept for one of my monthly reflections squares but couldn't seem to grasp the prospective. You have done it beautifully.

Actually I am not good at the perspective thingy and am now trying to figure some sense to it because I have bought a course on Painting and of course, has to learn to draw first and I am frustrated to the hilt because I can't seem to get it to work out for my first exam.BLAH!!!
