A Tribute to My "Other Mother"

Last Sunday, I lost one of the most precious people in my life. My mother-in-law passed away at the ripe old age of 92. In the 40+ years that I knew her, she never spoke a "cross" word to me. It may surprise some of you to know that not a word of disagreement ever came between us. We had a wonderful relationship and she always said I was her Daughter rather than an "in-law". She was a gentle, patient, kind woman who had gained a wealth of knowledge over her years with raising eleven children in very difficult times.
She was my mentor, confidant, teacher and most of all my Friend. I will miss her terribly.
Rest in Peace, MOTHER....

  1. Dear Anne,

I am so sorry that you have lost this special lady in your life. I know how much she meant to you and she will live forever in your memories.

My deepest condolences to you and your family.

  2. So sorry to hear of your loss Anne. Its lovely that you had such a close relationship with her and its obvious she felt the same about you.
    My thoughts are with you!

  3. Sorry for your loss Anne. Take Care.

  4. Thank you, friends. I wish I could be half the woman she was. I think the longer we have them, the harder it is to see them go..

  5. What a wonderful tribute ~ you are blessed to have that kind of relationship with your MIL ~ my sympathy to you and your family.
